Karen Gardner

Karen Gardner is licensed in MA and FL. She is board certified by the NCBTMB, a certified practitioner with the AOBTA and a professional member of the AMTA. She has a private clinical practise that includes both horses and human clients. She is the in-house Shiatsu bodywork therapist at the Boston Ballet and provides show coverage for the ballet at the Boston Opera House.

Karen holds multiple advanced certifications in bodywork including advanced orthopaedic techniques, trigger point therapy, origin attachment technique, traction and mobilization, deep muscle techniques, sports Tuina, Japanese therapeutic bodywork and certification by Jack Meagher in the original Jack Meagher Method for equine and humans.Karen works on the stallions and riders at the Herrmanns Royal Lipizzan Stallion ranch as well as on tour with them.

Karen holds a BFA in Dance and Music from the Boston Conservatory of Music and is a classically trained contralto who sings professionally with the Kings Chapel Choir under the direction of the renowned Heinrich Christensen.  Karen has worked on professionals in the entertainment industry for over 25 years and recognizes the effects performance pressure has on the artist.
